Care & Use

Hand wash or use a mild cycle in the dishwasher using the top rack.

Avoid abrasive scourers.

Not suitable for use on hotplates.

The silicone seal in the lid can and should be removed for washing to avoid water being trapped and mould growing.

Avoid severe and sudden temperature changes. (ie: frozen meals should be defrosted before putting back in the oven)

If using the lid in the microwave, ensure it is unlatched and loosely sitting on top. Open away from the body to avoid scalding.

When using in the freezer, only fill to a maximum of 80% as food & liquids expand when frozen.

There are two types of Glasslock so please look out for oven safe" in the name if you are looking for oven safe glass. The standard Glasslock (often with the blue trim around the lid) is freezer safe but not oven safe. Oven safe often has red trim around the lid. You can buy individual Glasslock containers or our great value sets for uses from baby food to baking with glass.

    Great versatile set

    I've been wanting to make the move to glass containers from plastic for a while, and finally I've done it. This set is so versatile, a size for everything. Loving the Glasslock range.

    Brilliant!

    They seal tightly and I love the time saving and less dishes by being able to cook oven dishes in the same container my partner will take to work.

    Fresher for longer!

    When I bought these, I wasn't expecting much. I figured it would be the same as using plastic containers - just not plastic... You know? Well the evidence so far is that stuff stays fresher for longer than in plastic containers. They are really well sealed. I had half a cucumber and half a peeled carrot in one for almost a week. I opened it last night expecting it to be mouldy/slimy/manky and it was totally fresh! I was still able to eat both things - and I ate them raw! They were still crunchy!! I didn't have to try and rescue the carrot by throwing it into a pot of soup or a curry! I just wish I could buy a set of them that were all roughly the size of take-away containers, since I like to bulk-cook my lunches to take to work :)

    Fantastic - totally leak proof, keeps food fresh, no leaching

    These containers are fantastic. They seal wonderfully, meaning that they keep food super fresh and are totally leak proof - even if your soup ends up on its side it wont leak. I love that I can reheat food directly in the container. The lids are easy to snap on and off, unlike an older version from the same brand. They are heavy, but that is to be expected with glass.

    Glasslock Oven Safe Premuim Container Set 9 pieces Coloured Clip Lids

    These are my favourite kitchen containers. Handy sizes, easy wash, easy to use. (I have had another brand that had lids that were difficult to shut.) The only mistake I made was to stick labels on the lid - they don't come off very easily. Labels on the glass base are easy to remove. I have had my set for more than a year and as my pyrex ones get moved on, I will be replacing them with more of these.
