Brand story

Ethique was created in 2012 when founder, Brianne West, began making natural beauty bars, in her science degree lab, in response to the 80 billion plastic shampoo and conditioner bottles thrown out globally each year. Since then, Ethique™ (which is French for ethical) has grown out of a Kiwi kitchen into a fully-fledged, award-winning international beauty brand. To date, Ethique has stopped over 6 million plastic bottles from being made & disposed of into landfills. By 2025, they aim to hit 50 million.

    Great Product but Over Packaged

The product works well for me, glides on easily and has a slight smell, the only negative comment is that the deodorant roll was also packaged in a box, which is not needed.

It works but the lavender makes me sleepy.

I started with the rustic scent and wanted to try this one, however the scent just doesn’t work as a daytime scent for me. Good to apply at night before bed.

These solid deodorants from Ethique really work. I am the sweatiest of Betties and although these don’t completely stop sweat, they stop any sweat odor so well.

    Best yet

I’ve been using Black Chicken sensitive deodarant for the past 7 years and it has been my trusted staple, even in the heta and humidity. My 10 year old daughter started using it, but didn’t like having to smear it on with her fingers or that it melts and feels gritty if its been in the heat. We tried a couple of other stick deodarants and Ethique Botanica has come out on top. Smooth and easy to apply (no grittiness), doesn’t melt, smells beautiful, and most importantly stops the stink!! My daughter also loves that the deodorant itself is lavendar coloured. 👌
